Dixie Springs at Sand Hollow is at the heart of a host of outdoor recreational amenities which will draw people to experience a community that has an unparalleled way of living. Breathtaking views and innovative home designs painted in red-sand desert hues have a sense of individuality and a variety of choice that's not available in most other areas. Red rock panorama and dawning sunsets work in concert to make this a truly remarkable community. Dixie Springs is a 1400 lot residential subdivision located in the heart of Washington County, Utah. The subdivision is divided into 7 plats—plats A, B, C, D, E, F and G. The lots are approximately ¼ acre (10,000 square feet or more) in size. Dixie Springs was annexed into the City of Hurricane as of January 3, 2007. Dixie Springs is located in Southern Utah in an area called Utah’s Dixie. Dixie get its name from its warm climate. The early Mormon settlers were sent to this area by the Mormon leader Brigham Young to grow cotton, sugar cane, grapes and other war weather crops similar to the crops grown in southern United States called Dixie. Improvements have been completed in Dixie Spring's Phase I (all the lots in Plats A, B and G). Applications are being accepted for approval of home plans by the Architectural Committee and by the City of Hurricane. A Special Improvement District (SID) is being formed for Phase II of Dixie Springs by Hurricane City. Once the contributions for the Electrical System are collected Hurricane City will go ahead with the SID.
