St George City Softball Rules
All games will be played under National Softball Association (NSA) rules with
the following exceptions:
- Use of the split home plate for all divisions.
- Use of a pitching box of 53' to 56'.
- A 6' to 12' pitching arc.
- 55 minute games or 7 innings.
- Run rule of 20 after any complete inning, 15 runs after 3 & 4 innings,
and/or 10 runs after 5 innings.
- The home run rule for Men's will be 5 for A' & B' divisions, 3 for C'
division, and 1 for D' division. All Home Runs over the limit will be outs.
- You may play with as few as 8 players with automatic outs.
- All bats used must appear on NSA's approved bat list.
- Players may play only on "1" team per league (i.e. leagues are men's, women's,
co-ed, and seniors).
- Line Ups must be turned in prior to the start of the game, an out will be
assessed to any team in violation.
- Anyone ejected from a game for any reason will be suspended for at least 3 games. Anyone ejected twice during the season will be suspended
for the rest of the season. Fighting will be a minimum of a 1-year suspension.
Any person verbally or physically attacking an official or supervisor will
be suspended from ALL St. George City Sports Programs indefinitely and criminal
actions may be taken.
- Co-ed will use the 200 ft. line.
- The 12" ball, only, will be used in co-ed.
- The co-ed home run rule will be 3 for Co-ed A & B and 1 for Co-ed C
& D. All Home Runs over the limit will be outs.
- The uniform rule is in effect for all divisions.
- Teams are responsible for their fans. Teams may be ejected for unruly fans.
- Alcohol will not be tolerated. Teams being caught will be EJECTED.
- Seniors will play for 48 minutes, then one open inning.
- Seniors will play the 5 Run per inning rule.
- The home run rule for Seniors will be 3, and then all others will be an
out.
- A 3 run spot for Senior Age Divisions will be used.
- All Divisions of play will use the strike zone mat.

NSA Men’s D & E and Women’s C & D teams. This tournament is played at night in order to “beat the heat”. Play begins Friday evening and continues through the early morning hours. Play resumes on Saturday afternoon and runs to completion.
