Stage Door Theatre stages the Pasek and Paul musical at the Electric Theater Center downtown. Evan Hansen, seventeen and invisible, is handed a chance to be someone else after a tragedy — and the lie grows past his ability to hold it.

The show deals directly with teen suicide and mental illness; it is not a young-children production.
