Tint Fuzion fits automotive, residential and commercial window film in the St. George area. Most conversations about tinting a vehicle start with how dark it can go, which is the wrong end of the question: what the film is made of decides how much heat it stops, and the law decides how dark the front of the car may be regardless of what the owner wants.

Worth knowing

Two rules shape nearly every automotive job. The windshield may only carry film above the AS-1 line, the marking etched into the glass near the top by the manufacturer, so a fully tinted windshield is not a legal option anywhere. And the front side windows must transmit more light than the glass behind them — a car cannot legally be tinted uniformly dark all the way round, which is why the front two windows on a properly done vehicle look lighter than the rear ones. Behind the driver, the restrictions relax considerably. Beyond the law, the case for film in southern Utah is as much medical as thermal. Utah records the highest rate of melanoma in the country, drivers take a disproportionate share of their lifetime exposure through the left-side glass, and ordinary automotive side glass blocks most UVB while passing a great deal of UVA. Quality film blocks essentially all of it, including on the clear films made for windshields.
