St. George Home Expo
Friday, September 11, 2026 – September 13, 2026 · All day
Dixie Convention Center, St. George
The St. George Home Expo fills the Dixie Convention Center for a weekend each September, and it is the largest consumer home show in southern Utah. Admission is free.
What it is
A trade show aimed at homeowners rather than the trade: contractors, remodelers, designers, landscapers and suppliers take booths, run live demonstrations, and offer show-only pricing. It is the one weekend a year when most of the region's home-services industry is standing in the same room and willing to talk.
Why it matters more here than it would elsewhere
Washington County has been among the fastest-growing metros in the country for over a decade, and a very large share of its housing stock is new. That produces an unusual concentration of people who have just bought, are about to build, or are about to remodel — and a matching concentration of firms competing for that work.
The practical value is comparison. Getting three bids for a roof or a kitchen normally means three separate appointments across two weeks. Here they are twenty feet apart, which is the real reason to go.
Making it useful rather than just browsing
- Know your numbers before you arrive. Rough dimensions, a budget range and photos on your phone turn a vague conversation into a quotable one.
- Collect cards rather than signing. Show-only pricing is a genuine incentive to commit on the spot; the discipline is to leave with quotes and decide at home.
- Check licensing separately. Utah licenses most building trades through the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, and a booth is not a license check.
- Go on the Friday if you want to talk. Saturday is the busy day and the exhibitors are three deep.
Getting there
The venue is the county's main exhibition hall, out on the south side of the city with parking attached — the same floor that carries the region's other large indoor shows. See St. George home services for the year-round directory, and buying new construction if the expo is research for a build.
Frequently asked questions
Is the St. George Home Expo free?
Yes, admission is free. It is a consumer show funded by the exhibitors rather than the gate.
When is the St. George Home Expo?
A weekend in September, running Friday through Sunday at the Dixie Convention Center. Confirm the current dates with the organizers before traveling.
Who exhibits at the Home Expo?
Contractors, remodelers, designers, landscapers and product suppliers, overwhelmingly local to Washington County. For a weekend the whole trade is reachable without booking a single appointment.
Is it worth going if you are not renovating?
Less so. This is a show built around getting work quoted and products demonstrated, so it rewards arriving with a specific project rather than browsing.
What should you bring?
Something concrete enough to quote against — a measurement, a number you are willing to spend, and a picture of the room. Exhibitors can price real work on the spot and cannot price a vague idea.
Which day is least crowded?
Friday. Saturday is the busiest day of the three, and exhibitors have less time for a detailed conversation.
