Viviano at Red Cliffs is a new Greystar-managed community in the Red Cliffs and Paseo area of St. George, adjacent to The Paseo shopping center. It focuses on larger three- and four-bedroom layouts with attached garages.

Amenities include controlled/gated access, a pool, a fitness center, and in-unit laundry.

Three worth a closer look

Laundry inside the unit. No trips to a shared room, no waiting on a machine. It is the amenity renters most often say they would not give up again, and in a market with a lot of student and short-term turnover it usually tracks with newer or renovated stock.

A dishwasher. Not a given in older southern Utah stock. Small thing, but it is one of the few appliance details worth confirming in writing rather than assuming from a photo.

Refrigerated air conditioning. This matters more in this valley than it sounds. Plenty of older southern Utah rentals still cool with an evaporative — swamp — cooler, which works well in dry heat and much less well once the monsoon humidity arrives in late summer. If a unit's cooling matters to you, confirm which system it actually has before signing.

Getting around without a car

St. George runs a city bus service and has built out a genuinely good network of paved trails along its washes, which together make parts of the city workable without driving. Outside St. George itself — Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara — a car is close to essential.
