White Dome is a newer community in far-south St. George near the White Dome and Desert Color area, opened by Nested Management. It is pet-friendly with an outdoor pool and pickleball, offering spacious two-bedroom, two-bath homes with in-unit laundry.

What to ask about these

A pool. In southern Utah a pool is in use far more of the year than it would be further north. Worth asking whether it is heated and what months it stays open — the shoulder seasons here are long and warm.

Laundry inside the unit. No trips to a shared room, no waiting on a machine. It is the amenity renters most often say they would not give up again, and in a market with a lot of student and short-term turnover it usually tracks with newer or renovated stock.

Pets allowed. Subject to the community's own rules, which is where the detail lives. In Utah those rules — breed and weight limits, a pet deposit, sometimes monthly pet rent — sit in the lease rather than in statute, so read them rather than assuming.

Renting through a St. George summer

Summer here is the thing out-of-state renters underestimate. Top-floor and west-facing homes run measurably hotter, and a cooling system that copes in May can struggle in July. On a tour, ask what the property's own cooling is — refrigerated air or an evaporative cooler — how old the unit serving that specific home is, and what the response time is on a cooling call in August. That answer tells you a lot about the management.
