Quail Creek State Park, about 20 minutes east of St. George near Hurricane, is home to one of the warmest and clearest reservoirs in the area — a favorite for boating, fishing, and cooling off.

- Warm water: Quail Creek holds some of the warmest lake temperatures in Utah, great for swimming and paddleboarding well into fall
- Fishing: stocked with bass, crappie, catfish, and rainbow trout
- Boating: open to motorboats, kayaks, and paddleboards, with a boat ramp

- It's the quieter sister to nearby Sand Hollow — less red sand and off-roading, more classic reservoir
