Overview
Sand Hollow State Park is located approximately 15 miles east of St. George and about seven miles east of the I-15 Hurricane exit. The park pairs a warm-water reservoir with red rock scenery and the sweeping sand dunes of the adjacent Sand Mountain OHV area.
What to Do
Sand Hollow is popular for boating, swimming, and fishing on the reservoir, and off-highway vehicle riding on the neighboring dunes. The park offers camping with standard, partial-hookup, and full-hookup sites.
Getting There & Know Before You Go
From I-15, take the Hurricane exit (Exit 16), travel east on Hwy 9 about four miles to Sand Hollow Road, turn right and continue south about three miles to the park entrance. The park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. in summer (Daylight Saving Time) and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in winter. Day-use fees are $25 per vehicle for Utah residents, $10 for resident seniors 65+, and $35 per vehicle for non-residents; walk-in entry is $5 per person.
