Living at Sand Hollow Resort

Sand Hollow Resort is Southern Utah's premier master-planned golf and resort community, set on the south side of Hurricane, Utah, beside Sand Hollow State Park and Reservoir. Developed by Sand Hollow Resort, LLC (part of Robert Roche's Roche Enterprises), it wraps luxury homes, resort villas, and a nationally ranked golf course in a dramatic red-rock landscape. It is all-ages and HOA-governed, and carries a strong vacation-rental component — several villages are zoned and branded for nightly rentals with an on-site rental-management program, giving buyers a genuine investment play.

The community is organized into distinct villages — The Estates, The Villas, The Retreat, The Dunes, and Tava — spanning nightly-rental villas and townhomes up to custom estates on golf-frontage lots as large as an acre and a half.

The golf course

The golf course at Sand Hollow Resort, designed by John Fought and opened in 2008, is a 27-hole facility — an 18-hole Championship Course (par 72, about 7,315 yards from the tips) plus a 9-hole Links Course. It is a public, resort-access course and one of the most decorated in the region: it debuted on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Public Courses, and three of its clifftop holes (12, 13, and 15) have appeared on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Golf Holes. The clubhouse is home to The Grille, with panoramic red-rock views.

• Home prices (as of 2026): Single-family homes carried a median around $750,000 to $795,000; nightly-rental villas averaged closer to $400,000, with townhomes and condos lower and custom golf-front estates well higher.
