Living in Sunbrook

Sunbrook is one of St. George's established golf communities, set on the west side of the city just south of Santa Clara and built around the Sunbrook Golf Club. Rather than a single master-planned subdivision, Sunbrook is a collection of many smaller neighborhoods — Woodlands, Bridgewater, French Quarter, Canyon View, River Bend Estates and dozens more — each with its own HOA and character. It grew up around the city-owned golf course beginning in the 1990s and is all-ages, drawing full-time residents, retirees, and second-home owners.

The golf course

The Sunbrook Golf Club is a 27-hole municipal course owned by the City of St. George, open to public play. It comprises three distinct nines — The Pointe, Woodbridge, and Black Rock (the newest, with holes carved from lava fields) — designed principally by Ted Robinson, with the Woodbridge nine opening in 1990. It's known for a signature island green and wooden bridge, dramatic lava-rock holes, and water features, and the city notes Golf Digest has twice rated Sunbrook the best golf course in Utah. On-site cafes serve golfers and residents.

Sunbrook is served by the Washington County School District; verify current school assignments for a specific address with the district. Access is via South Dixie Drive on the west side of St. George.
