St. George is one of the West's genuine golf towns, and it is worth understanding why before working out where to play.
The winter advantage is the whole proposition
This is the structural fact everything else rests on. While most of the country is frozen, courses here are open and comfortable — you can tee off in January as easily as June.
That single advantage explains a great deal about the region: why so much housing was built around golf, why a substantial winter population exists, and why the peak season here runs opposite to most of America.

What to know before booking
Public and private are clearly divided here, and it is worth knowing which you are looking at. Entrada is a private members-and-guests club, and Bloomington Country Club is the area's only private members' country club. Most of the rest is playable by anyone.
Book tee times when you book the trip, particularly for winter. The good morning times go first, and in peak season they go early.
