Sky Mountain is a golf-course community on an elevated bench above Hurricane, Utah, woven around the city-owned Sky Mountain Golf Course. Rather than a single developer's master plan, it grew in multiple phases as residential streets around the municipal course, so there is no single master developer. It's an all-ages, largely owner-occupied neighborhood of roughly 240 homes — most built in the 2000s — including the Sky Mountain Golf Estates sub-community, which has its own HOA.

The golf course

The Sky Mountain Golf Course is a municipal, public course owned by the City of Hurricane, designed by Jeff Hardin and opened in the mid-1990s. It plays 18 holes to a par of 72 at about 6,383 yards, routed across rolling desert terrain of red sandstone and black lava with panoramic views — including distant Zion National Park. Its signature holes include a clifftop par-3 (16) and a blind par-4 over a ravine (17), and it is part of the regional Red Rock Golf Trail. A clubhouse, pro shop, and the Sky Mountain Grill serve golfers.
