Living in The Ledges of St. George

The Ledges of St. George is a large master-planned golf community set on elevated ground in the northwest corner of the St. George area, roughly six miles north of downtown and directly beside Snow Canyon State Park. Its dramatic terrain — red-rock cliffs, black lava fields, and Pine Valley Mountain views — and a strong dark-sky building ethos define its character. The community is organized into many sub-neighborhoods, a mix of gated luxury villages and publicly accessible golf-course living, all under an HOA framework with strict architectural standards.

The Ledges is broadly structured in two parts: a privately gated western section overlooking Snow Canyon, and a publicly accessible eastern section around the golf course. The setting

The Ledges sits along State Route 18 (Highway 18) and is accessed via Ledges Parkway. Its elevated position gives many homesites panoramic views over Snow Canyon and the surrounding red-rock landscape, with hiking trails that connect directly into the state park.

Golf

The Ledges Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course — par 72, about 7,200 yards — designed by Matt Dye of the Dye golf-design family, opened in the mid-2000s and recognized among the best new public courses of its era. Unlike a private club, the course is open to public play. The clubhouse is home to the Fish Rock Grille, a full-service restaurant, along with a golf shop and lounge.
